The MODRET model (MODel for RETention Pond Design) was originally developed in 1991 by Nicolas Andreyev P.E. as a complement to a research and development project for the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), Brooksville, Florida.  Mike Hulley Ph.D., P.Eng. joined the MODRET initiative in the late 90's and together, Nicolas and Mike have been continually developing and improving the product to meet the needs of the engineering community in Florida and abroad.

Nicolas is president and founder of Andreyev Engineering Inc., a succesfull engineering firm based in Sanford, Florida, that recently celebrated 25 years in business.  Nicolas has extensive experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering throughout the US, Canada, and South America. 

 

Mike is a founding partner of Profound Engineering and is currently a professor of Civil Engineering at the Royal Military College of Canada.  Nicolas and Mike each have over 25 years of consulting engineering experience, specializing in groundwater, surface water and environmental investigations.
